The blogs that I looked at were interesting.  The quantity can be overwhelming, as well as the amount of time it takes to go through all the infomation.  There are, however, some interesting ideas being shared.  In the Well of Inspiration I encountered some good ideas.  It was evidently written by a high school student who actually ended up writing a novel.  The student was motivated to do this because he was told he couldn’t do it.  Don’t we love adolescents!

The selection of blogs was interesting.  Of special interest was the blog Rational for education blogging.  This addressed the reality of the rapidly changing information and communication technologies.  The impact  of blogging on literacy education is already expanding and will continue to do so.  It is certainly based on other people’s reactions and opinions.   In many ways the interactive aspects of this make it seem to make it more relative to the current learner.

The most challenging habit from the Habits of Highly Effective Lifelong Learners for me to develope may be using technology to my advantage.  I am looking forward to incorporating the new things I’ll be learning into my daily routine.  The easiest habit I think, will be viewing problems as challenges.  I realize that there are different ways to work through the wrinkles.  The most important habit for me will be maintaining the confidence in myself as a competent, effective learner.  Over the years I have been amazed at the different things that can be accdomplished through technology, and I need to keep pushing myself to take risks and experiment with new idea.
